Workin' for It

Unlike her mother, this girl does not laugh easily. She makes us work for it! And, as a friend of ours pointed out to us, she likes it to be big, over the top and highly animated. Now, that I can take credit for.

Here is the first of hopefully many more laughing videos to come!

Tub Time without Tears

This is a battle that has been raging for four months now. I think we have finally conquered it and Jason and I are the victors. Naomi has now had three, yes three, blessed baths where she has neither cried, nor screamed until our ears bled.

After watching this short clip one might even think she enjoyed her bath....

Cloth Covered Keister

Lately I've been trying to figure out what I would like to take on as my hobby. I've thought about photography, knitting, sewing... you get the idea. I need a creative outlet. While I haven't made up my mind yet, I've been attempting to try my hobbies in question. So my first venture was sewing. JoAnn Etc always sucks me in with their bright fabrics and cute prints. I will admit that I have diaper envy, and I've got it bad. So cloth diapers were going to be my first project. I found a free pattern online, some cute fabric and a wonderful lady who agreed to help me. Let's call her... mom :)

While these are far from perfect I had a lot of fun. There is no way I could have done these on my own. The elastic was tough! My mom was a huge help. She gets all the credit for sewing the elastic into the legs. Thanks for all your help mom!

ps. does any of the fabric look familiar? 10 points to the poster who can identify the familiar fabric and what it was used for!

How a four month old spends her days

Ok, for whatever reason blogger won't allow me to upload this video and I've tried more times than I can count.
If you click on this link it should take you right to it!
Sorry I've been a slacker with the blog Aunt RahRah! This is for you!

I heart bargains!

I don't think it's a secret that I love to shop and nothing makes shopping much sweeter than finding a good price! This weekend I went to my first Mom2Mom sale with my mom. I was still feeling horrible, but I needed to get OUT OF MY HOUSE! I had only left the house twice in over a week and I was starting to lose my ever lovin' mind.
A m2m sale is like a giant indoor garage sale, but the only items that are being sold are for children. There were two sales in the area and I think I did pretty well! Here are my items for the day: one pair of jeans (Old Navy) one pair over blue jeans overalls, 2 pairs of cute pants (i LOVE the plaid ones) yellow cardigan sweater (new with tags!) orange checkered sun dress and a bathing suit (Osh Kosh). I got those seven items for a grand total of $10!

Like I said, my mom went with me and she was nice enough to buy Naomi some clothes too! She got a pair of jeans(Old Navy) two shirt (they go with the pants I bought) a cute little romper, and a three piece outfit from Babies R Us. It is adorable. The pants are plaid and the sweater has a little fur collar. She spent about $8, but she also paid for us to get into both sales. Thanks Grandma! :)
Today I went to the Salvation Army that just opened here in town just to see what they had, and I wasn't disappointed. I got three pairs of pants, a sleeper and two cute onesie shirts for... $5.35!! Plus the sleeper and the white pants with flowers were still brand new with tags!

All of these items are in my washer as I type. I can't wait for them to dry so we can have a little fashion show for Daddy!
